Network SA EXtra

From 2010, all Network SA Extra renewals will fall due on 31st July each year.

Currently, if you first became a member in October of one year, then your subscription would be due for renewal in October each year thereafter.

As the new renewal date is being phased in, memberships will be charged on a monthly basis instead of an annual basis.

Therefore, instead of being billed for the annual rate of $330.75 per annum, your invoice for this period only will be for the months remaining until 31st July 2010.

Are you a Network SA EXtra Member?

Telephone Advisory Service

The annual Network SA EXtra subscription will entitle you to call us for help on industrial and legal accountability matters relating to employment as often as you need to.

Discuss any industrial issues confidentially whether it's on award interpretation, classification levels, long service leave, disciplinary procedures, higher duties, pay rates, underpayments, superannuation, unfair dismissals, restructuring, redundancy, termination, contracts of employment, conditions of employment or any other issues relating to employment.

Consultations

Sometimes when a situation is complex, it's difficult to deal with over the telephone. To help you to deal with these situations, your annual fee will cover you for consultation at our office or on site.  This consultation can be used as an opportunity to discuss potential issues or to seek advice from our specialist consultants about restructuring, disciplinary procedures, terminations or any other employment issue knowing that the discussions will be kept confidential.  We can provide additional support or consultations at your centre or service for a fee.

Subscriber Newsletters & Bulletins

Special subscriber newsletters and bulletins are sent out when required advising Network SA EXtra subscribers of important industrial cases affecting the child care and out of school hours care sectors.  These newsletters could include information on proposed changes to awards and advance notice of other matters such as wage or superannuation increases.

Wage Bulletins

Network SA EXtra subscribers receive new wage rates bulletins for the Child Care (SA) and Clerks (SA) Awards as soon as we hear that the decisions have been handed down.  Plus, we provide advance notice of possible wage increases whenever possible. This way services can plan ahead for their budgets and avoid having to back-pay employees.

Resources

To Network SA EXtra subscribers we can provide industrial and legal accountability resources including sample contracts of employment which are tailored to specific parts of the sector eg. OSHC, private long day care, community based long day care.  Many of our Network SA EXtra resources will soon be available online to Network SA EXtra members within a password protected area of our website. Together with the sample contracts of employment the Network SA EXtra area will include Award and regulation interpretation information, up-to-date wage rate sheets for the Child Care (SA) and Clerks (SA) Awards,  resources to assist with staff disciplinary issues and industrial newsletters, bulletins and updates, plus other information specifically related to industrial relations and legal accountability..

Training

Network SA EXtra subscribers receive discounts on training conducted by Network SA.

What Network SA EXtra subscribers say

Here are some testimonials from current Network SA EXtra subscribers:

"I have been Director for seven years now and Network SA Extra has consistently given me the professional and personal support that I've required over the years.  The staff are experienced, friendly and confidential and almost always available to speak, or should I say, listen, within 24 hours.  The position of Director is an isolated one and knowing that Network SA EXtra is only a phone call away is completely reassuring! Thank-you"
- Teresa Martin, Modbury Community Child Care.

"Staff have been very helpful when I've needed help in regard to employing staff and staff wages."
- Wendy Lord, Klemzig OSHC

"Network SA has been an invaluable support for me during my many many years in child care.  They have been able to give advise and guidance from industrial issues to how to deal with a difficult client ........ I may not use Network SA EXtra on a weekly basis but it is great to know they are there."
- Lesley Stanton, St Francis Community CC.

"Industrial issues relating to employment such as redundancy, sick leave, annual leave, carer's leave and L.S.L.  It has been great to get objective/knowledgeable advice about staffing issues relating to our award with no preferences for either employers and employees - facts!"
